I received some sad news via email this afternoon: Cherichel Debrunes, a chef for fifteen years at Frazer's Restaurant & Lounge (1811 Pestalozzi Street; website), lost several family members in the Haiti earthquake; several other family members remain among the missing. The restaurant will donate all dinner proceeds this Thursday, January 21, from 4-10 p.m. to help Debrunes' family in Haiti.

My colleague Keegan Hamilton has compiled a list of Haiti benefit events throughout the St. Louis area. And, again, if you know of a restaurant planning such an event, drop me a line or leave a comment in this post.
