River City Casino is slated to open Thursday, March 4, which means the p.r. blitz is in full swing. Yesterday, the casino revealed its lineup of restaurants.

This is another property from Pinnacle Entertainment, whose Lumière Place is home to Hubert Keller's Sleek and Burger Bar (among other eateries), so I perused the list with interest.

Dig out your tacky souvenirs from the 2004 centennial celebration of the St. Louis World's Fair and follow me back in time after the jump...

Because this is a casino, there is a buffet. It's called The Great Food Exposition, which I think is actually a pretty awesome name, and it will feature (quoting the press release here) "Italian, American, Asian and seafood favorites."

The 1904 Beerhouse will boast 32 beers on draft and 100 by bottle. The menu is "an eclectic selection of contemporary bar treats," including "Kobe beef slides, Pot Roast poppers [sic!] and crab fritters."

No, really, pot roast poppers.

Previously announced is Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse, an upscale restaurant out of Cincinnati. Besides the obvious (steaks), there will be seafood, including a sushi and raw bar.

Burger Brothers
will serve, yes, burgers, while Lewy Nine's Café is a classic faux diner -- or faux classic diner. Also, it will feature a few "favorites" from the 1904 World's Fair.
