Not only are pesticides bad for bugs, there's more evidence showing how bad they are for humans. Reuters reports that the Harvard School of Public Health has released a study linking organophosphate pesticides to ADHD in kids. Over forty organophosphates are approved for pesticide use in the U.S. They were originally developed for chemical warfare, can cause nervous system damaged, and probably shouldn't be fed to children via apples.

As his 11-year-old daughter moves from his influence to that of The Ace of Cakes, Philadelphia Inquirer food critic Craig LaBan examines the impact of food-themed reality television. "'I can think of no other industry that's been impacted more greatly by reality TV than the culinary profession and food business,' said Tim Ryan, president of the Culinary Institute of America. 'Right now, there are about 60,000 students enrolled in culinary programs throughout the country. In 1972, there were 1,800.'"

Is too much healthy food in school lunches a bad thing? The Times Online reports that in Glasgow, Scotland, school lunch participation in secondary schools has dropped by nearly half since healthy standards were put in place. Instead of eating lunch at school, more kids are going off-campus to get their junk food fixes
