Sadly, the first month of the new year saw a spate of high-profile closings: Sleek, the Lumière Place steakhouse from celebrity chef Hubert Keller; Lafayette Square Mexican restaurant Arcelia's, after 20 years; and Pratzel's Bakery, after nearly 100 years.

Here's hoping the rest of the year brings happier news.

The full list of openings and closings is after the jump. As always, please let us know in the comments if we missed a spot.

If you still haven't gotten caught up with all of last year's comings and going, check out our omnibus 2010 openings and closings post.
