Nubia Cafe, the West African restaurant located at 5860 Delmar Boulevard, has closed for "remodeling," according to the sign taped to the front window. There certainly appears to be some work being done inside, though it's difficult to tell whether things are being remodeled or taken apart.

Tellingly, perhaps, the restaurant's listed phone number has been disconnected. There is a review on Nubia Cafe's Yelp profile dated January 24th of this year, so apparently it was still open as of a few weeks ago. I'll keep an eye on the space.
