Just last week, the national food and restaurant website Eater offered a "Heat Map" of where to eat right now in St. Louis. This week, as part of a celebration of all things burger, Eater has put together another "Heat Map" of fifteen of the "Country's Hottest Burgers" -- and along with such hip spots as New York's Shake Shack and Los Angeles' Umami Burger, the map includes the burger from Five Bistro (5100 Daggett Avenue; 314-773-5553).

The brief blurb accompanying Five's inclusion mentions the burger's origin at the late Newstead Tower Public House and some blather from a local restaurant critic. In its Newstead incarnation, the burger was twice named the RFT's "Best Burger" (2008 and 2010) and easily earned a spot in my 100 Favorite St. Louis Dishes.
