Sameem Afghan Restaurant, which shuttered its original location at 3191 South Grand Boulevard over a year ago, will reopen at a new address in Forest Park Southeast's Grove district, Gut Check has learned.

We were unable to reach Sameem owner Qayum Mohammad at his other restaurant, Kabob Palace (14424 Manchester Road, Manchester; 636-230-8800), but the employee with whom we spoke confirmed Sameem's return, with an opening slated for a few months from now. The employee didn't know the exact address. More as we learn it.

For more on the story behind the original restaurant, read our 2005 review of Sameem by Rose Martelli.
