We've just received word that a small fire broke out at Ranoush (6501 Delmar Boulevard, The Loop; 314-726-6874) around 11:30 this morning. Gut Check was told by a Loop employee that it appeared to be an electrical fire caused by the restaurant's sign, but there's no official confirmation on that yet.
We'll keep trying to reach Ranoush, and update this post as we learn more.
Update: [Saturday, 8.27, 5:20 p.m.] Ranoush has reopened for dinner. We're still waiting for the owner to return our call, but things couldn't have been too bad if they've already resumed business as usual.
