Adobe Reds (3108 Olive Street; 314-340-8133) closed after service this Saturday, October 1, reports Sauce Magazine. Owner Tom Quinlan tells Sauce's Ligaya Figueras that lack of sales is the reason for the closure.

Adobe Reds' run was a brief one. The restaurant, which specialized in New Mexican (as in the state) cuisine, opened in May, and I reviewed it in August.

Adobe Reds replaced The U in the development that is also home to Pappy's Smokehouse and Buffalo Brewing Co., both of which are into their third year of operation.
