Sameem Afghan Restaurant has opened its new location at 4341 Manchester Avenue in Forest Park Southeast's Grove district. Gut Check first reported Sameem's return in July; in November, owner Qayum Mohammad confirmed to us that the restaurant was returning with "more new entrées and great specialties."

The original Sameem closed its location at 3191 South Grand Boulevard two years ago. (The space is now home to Al Waha Restaurant & Hookah Lounge, a Bedouin restaurant.) In the interim, however, Mohammad continued to operate his west county restaurant Kabob Palace (14424 Manchester Road, Manchester; 636-230-8800).

Sameem is open from 11 a.m.-9:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday and Saturday and from 11 a.m.-9:30 p.m. Sunday. The restaurant is closed on Monday. Call 314-374-5270 or visit the Sameem website for more info.
