Enter to Win a Copy of The Hunger Games Unofficial Cookbook [Updated]!

Posted By on Fri, Mar 23, 2012 at 9:00 AM

This is part three of Gut Check's Dinner and a Movie feature of The Hunger Games. Part one, featuring barbecued freshly snared rabbits à la Katniss, was published Wednesday, and part two, a review of the film, was published Thursday.

It's a big day. Not our wedding day or even sandwich day big, but still, a big day nonetheless. Today The Hunger Games film is released nationwide, which means fans of this YA franchise (and their parents, or for others, their fellow adult nerds) across the country will be flocking to theaters to see if on-screen Katniss lives up to the Katniss conjured in their imaginations.

After a marathon week of anticipation at Gut Check HQ -- a rabbit was barbecued...need we say more? -- we're excited to auction off one copy of The Unofficial Hunger Games Cookbook by Emily Ansara Baines, so that you, too, can know the thrill and eventual horror of cooking woodland animals.

Update: Congrats to commenter @dalebo for his answer, "Sword. Most like a lightsaber."

Rules: To enter to win, tell us in the comments section: If you were participating in the hunger games, which weapon would you default to and why? To be eligible, you must leave a valid e-mail address (or Twitter handle or Facebook profile URL) in the comment-entry field. One guess per e-mail address.
