Govinda's Vegetarian Cuisine Temporarily Closed

Last week, Gut Check posted its list of the Ten Best Vegetarian Restaurants in St. Louis. Among these was Govinda's Vegetarian Cuisine (3926 Lindell Boulevard; 314-535-8085), located inside the Hare Krishna temple on Lindell just west of Vandeventer Avenue.

A couple of commenters on that post noted a slight problem: Govinda's isn't open at the moment.

A call to the restaurant connected us to International Society for Krishna Consciousness. The person with whom we spoke confirmed that the restaurant was closed temporarily.

Will it reopen?

"Maybe in a month or two," she told us.

More as we learn it, and our apologies to anyone who headed over there recently after reading our list.
