Though the sting of the Cardinals loss is still with us, it's high time we started looking on the bright side of life.

Like, for instance, the fact that the Giants ultimately went on to win the World Series means -- it's Free Doritos Locos Tacos Day!

That's right, for a short window of time today, Taco Bell is giving away free cah-raaaaazy tacos in honor of the Giants, even here, in Saddest Little Cardinal Town.

The promo goes from 2 until 6 p.m. today and details are here. The event is specifically in honor of San Francisco Giants outfielder Angel Pagan, who stole a base in Game 2, hence the tagline, "They steal a base/You #StealaTaco." Here's a store locator map. Feel free to bookmark that for life.

Now, you may be asking yourself, why did Gut Check use a photo of a Doritos Locos Taco with a Masterlock stuck through it? And the answer is, because we found it and how couldn't we.

This is apparently a real thing you can buy on Etsy that we discovered while looking for images of the infamous taco. The full item title is "DORITOSLOCOS taco MASTER LOCKED shut (Key Sold Separately) Highly Significant (Consider The Consequences of Tardiness)" and it costs $55.

Did you catch that? The key to the taco is sold separately.

Gut Check isn't sure which is more awesome, the item itself or the fact that someone bought one. Here is a photo of what arrived, via Flickr:

And here is their unboxing video:

Clearly we need to know more about this Etsy seller but it has nothing to do with Free Doritos Locos Tacos Day and will have to wait until we have explored the matter further. Good day.
