Pizza Hut Canada Gifts 110 Bottles of Eau de Pizza Hut Perfume To Fans (But Not Gut Check)

Gut Check doesn't ask for much. Consider us the winter holiday party hosts who write "No gifts please. Cards welcome!" on invitations. That was before, though. Before we knew the thrill, the ecstasy, that stirred when we heard Pizza Hut has produced a new perfume with "top notes of freshly baked, hand-tossed dough."

Unfortunately we can't get a bottle of it, or, as we'd prefer, a bathtub filled with it.

And this is particularly difficult for Gut Check, as our default reaction to bad news is to talk through it with pizza.

Eater reports that in August Pizza Hut Canada jokingly asked its Facebook fans what a perfume designed to smell like a freshly opened box of pizza should be named. Fans submitted ideas and the response was so overwhelming that Pizza Hut Canada decided to take it a step further, producing a limited supply of a perfume made to smell like its pizza dough. Eau de Pizza Hut was born.

The company produced 110 bottles of the perfume, and just last Thursday announced that they'd distributed them to,"...lucky Facebook fans who won a bottle by being among the first to share their desire for Pizza Hut perfume."

Sadly we were not one of 110 Facebook fans who won a bottle of Eau de Pizza Hut.

As a result of the news, we'll be eating pizza alone, shunning cheer and good tidings, till 2013. Or maybe we'll get lucky and the world really will end on December 21, 2012. All we know is there's no point in living, if living is without you, Pizza Hut perfume.
