Friday (Jan. 4):

Happy Hour @ Vino Nadoz Treat yourself to half price wines, cocktails and local beer on tap, along with bar plates. 4 to 6 p.m.

Murder in Maybury @ Lemp Mansion Restaurant & Inn Enjoy a comedy-mystery dinner over a multi-course meal that includes soup, salad, chicken entree with vegetable sides, dessert, coffee and tea. Saturday (Jan. 5):

Bisque Management @ Kitchen Conservatory Learn how to prepare creamy lobster bisque, triple onion bisque, winter squash bisque and more with Chef Bernard Pilon of Norwood Hills Country Club. The hands-on class costs $60 per person. Register online via the Kitchen Conservatory website. 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Healthy Eating Store Tour @ Whole Foods Market - Town and Country This guided tour explores healthy eating options in every department. Free. Register in advance via the Whole Foods Market website. 10 to 11:30 a.m.

1773 Twelfth Afternoon Ball @ the Old Courthouse Enjoy a historic holiday food demo and historical reenactment along with music and dance instruction. Cookies and cider provided. 12 to 4 p.m.

All That Jazz Variety Burlesque Supper Show @ The Jumpin' Jupiter Enjoy jazz dancing, cirque acts and burlesque over a dinner. A la carte entree offerings include beef tenderloin, lemon pepper chicken, parmesan-crusted tilapia and falafel. Tickets for the show cost $15 per person. Dinner cost is separate. Every Saturday through Feb. 23 at 6 p.m.

Schlafly's 21st Birthday Party @ The Pageant Listen to some live local music and throw back some brewskis to celebrate Schlafly's big birthday. Free. Grab tickets from Schlafly Bottleworks or Schlafly Tap Room. 8 p.m.

Sunday (Jan. 6):

Tenth Anniversary Brunch Meal Deal @ Cafe Madeleine Celebrate ten years of weekly brunch service in the Piper Palm House, the oldest standing greenhouse west of the Mississippi River, with a special unlimited month-long meal deal. Buy one adult-priced brunch at the regular price of $22.75, and get one for $10. Call 314-575-5658 for reservations. Every Sunday in January from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Cheese Making Class @ location near Galleria; Brentwood; MO Have fun making cheddar, mozerella, gouda, brie and more with Merryl Winstein, cheesemaker. $50 per person. Register online at Cheese Making Class' website. $185 per person. Saturday, Jan. 5 and Sunday, Jan. 6 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Holiday Light Recycling Drive @ Participating Drop-Off Points Donate recyclable lights for a good cause. A portion of proceeds goes to benefit Operation Food Search.
