Meanwhile, AdvancePierre Foods of Enid, Oklahoma, has announced (via the USDA) a recall of15,327 pounds of its Fast Classics brand frozen, fully cooked country-fried steak because the food might contain pieces of plastic.

Specifically, the company has recalled 22.75-ounce pouches and 8.5-pound cases of its Fast Classics Country Fried Steaks. The recalled packages have a case code of 1523560202, a best-by date of March 21, 2014, and the establishment number EST. 2260Y in its USDA inspection mark. The recalled steaks were distributed to Wal-Mart locations in multiple states, including Missouri and Illinois.

The new year is shaping up to be a busy one for AdvancePierre Foods, and not in the good way. Just two weeks ago, the company announced a recall of its Fast Classics Chicken-Fried Chicken Breasts because of the presence of small pieces of metal.
