Posted By on Tue, Mar 5, 2013 at 11:00 AM

Sadly, this week we made it only till Tuesday morning before coming across news of another food recalled because of foreign material.

Schmalz's European Provisions has recalled its Applegates Organics Chicken and Apple Sausage because of the possible presence of small pieces of plastic.

Specifically, Schmalz's European Provisions has recalled 12-ounce packages of the Applegate Organics Chicken and Apple Sausages with a use-or-freeze-by date of 03/17/13 and the establishment number "P-5411" in the USDA inspection mark.

The company distributed the products nationwide. It reports no injuries or illness related to the recall, though three customers did complain about the presence of the plastic.
