Friday (June 21):

Third Friday Free Party @ Third Degree Glass Factory At this month's open house, get free ice cream tastings from Frostbite Gourmet Ice Cream, order tapas-style plates like watermelon salad and jerk chicken skewers, sip on mojitos, and enjoy entertainment such as fire spinning, live music and a classic car show. Admission is free. 6 to 10 p.m.

Around the World Wine Dinner @ Missouri Botanical Garden MoBot continues Around the World Wine Dinner series with a Chinatown San Francisco and Napa Valley wine theme. The four-course meal with wine pairings includes Kung Pao Chinese sausage and crawfish fried rice with duck egg, sticky sesame wings, cucumbers and chile. The meal costs $58 per person. Call 314-577-0200 for reservations. 6:30 p.m.

Saturday (June 22):

Shells and Whistles @ Kitchen Conservatory Chef Bernard Pilon of Norwood Hills Country Club hosts a hands-on class on shellfish. Make lobster bisque, scallops with sweet cream corn, shrimp sofritto, and lobster with grapefruit and hollandaise sauce. $60 per person. Register online via the Kitchen Conservatory website. 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Grub and Groove @ Francis Park Try bites from Stellina Pasta, Russell's on Macklind, Onesto and more over live music and activities for the kids. Check out the Grub and Groove website to work up an appetite for summer grilled cheese, oatmeal stout cake, pulled pork nachos and more. Admission is free. 4:30 to 10 p.m.

Yappy Hour @ I Scream Cakes Bring the pooch and get half-price off of I Scream's doggy ice cream. Complimentary PBR and 10 percent off of regular scoops awaits for bidepal customers, along with door prizes! Admission is free. 5 to 7 p.m.
