Niche offers Pastaria R&D, a Trip Through Italian Cuisine on Monday Evenings

Niche (7734 Forsyth Boulevard; 314-773-7755) needs no introduction. It's only the best restaurant in St. Louis. Starting July 1, chefs Gerard Craft and Adam Altnether will offer a 5-course menu of Italian antipasti and pasta dishes every Monday evening. This Summer event, dubbed Pastaria R&D, reflects the experience of a tasting trip through Italy.

Last Spring, Craft and Altnether explored the food of Naples, Rome, Abruzzo, Emilia-Romagna, Marque, Lombardy, Umbria, Tuscany and Lazio. Each Pastaria R&D dinner will cost $45, and provide a selection of antipasti dishes, three pasta courses and dessert.

Starting next week, Pastaria R&D will be the only pre-fixe menu offered on Monday evenings. Expect artfully crafted Italian-inspired dishes with the careful, thoughtful execution Niche is known for.

"Our philosophy at Niche is to take a simple ingredient, such as pasta, and think outside the box to make it creative. With Pastaria R&D, we want to bring people in with something that's approachable, and then push them to the edge with really interesting dishes," The Niche Press Release stated.
