Will you be hunting for chocolate in Forest Park this weekend? | Robert S. Donovan

Happy Easter, Gut Checkers! We are already planning the food-coma-inducing brunch we're going to have on Sunday, but there are plenty of other things to keep you occupied until then. Friday (Apr. 18):

Caffeine Crawl @ Chauvin Coffee Company

This two-day event, featuring bike and car routes, will take you to some of the best coffee places St. Louis has to offer. Meet at 5 p.m. at Chauvin before the group splits up to explore. Each stop will offer education, demonstrations and samples of coffees. Participating cafes include Blueprint Coffee, Coffee Cartel, Chronicle Coffee, Rise Coffee House, Sump Coffee, Kayak's, and, of course, sponsors Chauvin and Kaldi's. Saturday's crawl kicks off at 10 a.m. at Kaldi's. Tickets start at $24 and are available here.

Crawfish Festival @ Broadway Oyster Bar

Broadway Oyster Bar is famous for its festivals, among other things, and this weekend, it's all about crawfish. You can get the little suckers boiled New Orleans-style, or try crawfish and artichoke dip, crawfish pot pie, crawfish stuffed sliders...the list goes on. Of course there will be live music and lots of specials as well. Friday, 6 to 11 p.m. and Saturday, 1 to 11 p.m. Admission is free.

Saturday (Apr. 19):

Meet and Eat with the Easter Bunny @ Forest Park

Bring the little ones to meet the Easter Bunny, hunt for eggs and enjoy pizza plus other games. From 2 to 5 p.m. Tickets start at $7, available here.

Hops Run STL @ Forest Park

What's a little jog without some beer? Run down the "Hops" (get it?) trail and stop at four stations to complete a challenge. Afterward, you'll get breakfast and a delicious craft-beer pairing. From 9 a.m. to noon. Registration starts at $40. Get more information here.

American Homebrewers Association Rally @ Public House Brewing Co.

The American Homebrewers Association hosts rallies to get members together from all over the country, and this weekend they'll be in Rolla. Check out local breweries, connect with other homebrewers and try some limited-edition brews. You can tour the Public House brewery, speak with brewers, sample some beer and even win prizes. There will also be tastings of Public House's limited-edition English Pale Ale, brewed in association with the Missouri Association of Serious Homebrewers. From 1 to 4 p.m. Admission is free for members. RSVP here.

Sunday (Apr. 20):

Easter Brunch @ Scape American Bistro

"The elegant Central West End restaurant will have live jazz entertainment to accompany its brunch buffet. Pick from the seafood raw bar with colossal shrimp and crab legs, get a made-to-order omelet or crepe, multiple carving stations and more. Brunch is from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. It's $45 for adults, $20 for kids and children under five eat for free. You can make reservations here or call 314-361-7227."

4/20 in the #DoneZone @ Strange Donuts

Yep, it's every stoner's favorite holiday, and we can't think of anywhere better to serve their needs than Strange Donuts. The bakery will be releasing special new doughnuts, a new tie-dye T-shirt and other prizes, plus DJ Billy Brown will be there. From 8 to 10 p.m. Admission is free.
