Yes, a national banana tour, and we think it sounds awesome. The Dole "Peel the Love" Nationwide Banana Cabana (!) Tour will be in St. Louis from August 11 to 16 to "celebrate the fun, whimsy and irreverence of the banana." Surely only the peach exceeds the banana in whimsy.

There are 26 cities on Dole's Peel the Love tour, which promotes healthy eating among kids and adults. The best part? Free bananas. Stop by the Banana Cabana August 15 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Walmart in Manchester at 201 Highlands Boulevard or August 16 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Walmart in St. Peters at 2662 Jungemann Road.

You'll get tastings of banana sides, desserts and smoothies, Blue Diamond Almond Breeze almond milk, Dole bananas plus free t-shirts, hats and more. You can also sample banana pudding pops, banana s'mores, grilled bananas, Caribbean jerk shrimp and banana kabobs, Dole pinapples and more.

Free fresh fruit is just the thing for a hot summer day in St. Louis. Not to mention we really love saying Banana Cabana.
