Family-owned restaurant Richard's Ribs (10727 Big Bend Road, Kirkwood) has closed after nineteen years. Though there is no hint of it on either of the restaurant's social-media accounts, a voicemail at Richard's confirms it.

As first reported by the Post-Dispatch, the closure was effective August 23. Richard's offered full and half slabs of ribs, pork loin, brats and even crispy snoots. The owners left a farewell message for all their longtime fans on Richard's voicemail message:

We would like to thank you for all your love and support that everyone has shown us for all the years we have been in the Kirkwood area, but effective August 23, 2014, Richard's Ribs will no longer be in business. Again we thank you all for all your love and support.
