We've said it before, and we'll say it again: Instagram was practically made for pictures of food. Gut Check has rounded up our favorite foodie accounts in St. Louis, but there are so many cool photos every week, we wanted to share what St. Louis' best chefs, bartenders and eaters are Instagramming. If you see a good one, send it to us!

1. Lovely cakes at Pint Size Bakery

We normally think of Pint Size for adorable hand pies and the famous salted caramel croissant, but the team can do couture cakes with the best of 'em.

2. Salame con nocciola at Salume Beddu

We recently started following Salume Beddu on Facebook too, much to the detriment of our wallets. The charcuterie shop and cafe posts mouth-watering offerings multiple times a day.

3. First sip at Side Project

To say Cory King's Side Project Cellar was highly anticipated would be a huge understatement. This elegantly rustic setup makes us want to head over there ASAP.

4. Count Chocula cocktail at Rooster South Grand

At first glance, this looks like a simple (but yummy) mug of hot cocoa. In reality it's even better, because it's got alcohol.

5. Eggnog crème brûlée-filled Bismarck at Vincent Van Doughnut

Doughnuts + booze + holidays = Awesome.

6. Ice cream cake at I Scream Cakes

That is not a turkey. We repeat: That is not a turkey. It's an ice cream cake!

7. Bucatini All'Amatriciana at Pastaria

So simple, yet so delicious-looking.

8. Dessert at Gamlin Whiskey House

We don't know what this is but we want it.

9. Pumpkin cranberry quinoa salad.

As @ninjakitchen1 explains, you don't want to leave your gluten-free, vegan or lactose intolerant friends in the lurch.

10. Onion tart at Sidney Street Bistro

We were surprised by an onion tart, too -- but damn if that doesn't look and sound delicious.
