Happy New Year, Gut Checkers! There isn't too much going on this weekend after the busy holiday week, but there are still a few opportunities to get out and enjoy St. Louis. Continue on for our food-related recommendations.

Friday (Jan. 2):

Cardinal Snow @ Pinot's Palette

Grab some friends and relax with some wine and a little artistic expression tonight. We may not have had a white Christmas, but paint a cute Cardinal surrounded by lots of the white stuff. Hey, maybe all that white will hide the fact that you focused more on the wine than your painting. From 7 to 10 p.m. Tickets are $45, available here. Use code "CSNOW" for $10 off.

Saturday (Jan. 3):

Garden Glow @ Missouri Botanical Garden

It's the last day for the annual spectacular. "If you're into breathtaking displays of flora and multicolored lights, the Garden Glow is for you. More than half a million lights and holiday music transform the Missouri Botanical Garden into a nocturnal fairyland. Fire pits and s'mores help beat back the chill, and concession tents offer seasonal treats such as decorated candy canes, Bourbon eggnog and cookies. The event is capacity controlled, so buy your tickets online to ensure you can visit on the night or nights you desire." From 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Prices are $6-$18.

Sunday (Jan. 4):

Naughty or Nice Resolution Brunch @ Cafe Madeleine

Either keep your resolutions or break them -- no judgement at today's brunch. Cafe Madeleine, inside the Piper Palm House, will be expanded to host a lavish new year's buffet with both decadent and healthy options. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Brunch is $10.75 for kids and $23.75 for adults.
