  • Dine out at Small Batch on April 30, and the restaurant will donate 50 percent of your bill to local HIV services.

Eat out at one of 100-something restaurants in the greater St. Louis area on Thursday, and you won't just be filling your belly.

You'll also be contributing at least one-fourth of your check to support the work of Saint Louis Effort for AIDS -- the local nonprofit agency that provides services for those suffering from HIV, and also works to prevent its spread.

This year's Dining Out for Life will be the 22nd annual iteration. Last year's raised $240,000 locally.

You can find a complete list of participating restaurants on the agency's website.

And for those of you who insist on going for extra credit, and who aren't content simply to see a 25 percent donation, here's a cheat sheet to the restaurants going above and beyond. Some have promised to donate 50 percent of your bills; others, 35 percent. Either way, it's a really good way to help a really important cause.
