Stop with the Giant Zucchini Pics

While #checkoutmygiantzucchini isn't trending...yet...a number of people post pictures/videos this time of year featuring baseball-bat-size home-grown zucchini.

I ask you, politely, to stop. Posting a photo of a 36-inch zucchini means one of two things: You are not giving your garden the attention it deserves; or, you don't know that the zucchini becomes watery and tough-skinned after the prime five-to-seven inches.

Don't let a good zucchini go bad -- unless you plan on serving it to Dakota Sue, the zucchini-eating Husky.
