Wine Spectator's August 31 issue has hit the shelves, featuring its 2015 Restaurant Awards. A number of Missouri restaurants made the list, but were they high enough? Was anyone snubbed?

Wine Spectator's awards are listed in three tiers. 81 restaurants around the world made the "Grand Award" level. 973 restaurants were awarded "Best of Award of Excellence" while 2,563 were awarded the "Award of Excellence" prize.

35 Show-Me State restaurants received an award, but none were among the 81 honored by Wine Spectator at the highest level. The 35 are spread across the state including Celebrations Restaurant & Bar in Cape Girardeau and the Capital Grille in Jefferson City, among others. Kansas City had more restaurants honored than St. Louis, and Missouri, as a whole, had ten restaurants honored at the "Grand Award" level.

Annie Gunn's, Balaban's, 801 Chophouse and Truffles were the four to represent St. Louis at this middle tier, while Cielo, Eleven Eleven Mississippi, Fleming's, J. Buck's, Lucas Park Grille, the Melting Pot (both on the Loop and in Town & Country), Mike Shannon's, Remy's Kitchen and Vin de Set were selected for at the "Award of Excellence" level.

What do you think? Is there at least one Missouri restaurant with a wine list that's worthy of being called one of the best in the world? Do Kansas City restaurants have better wine lists than St. Louis? Should anyone be up a level or down a level?

We want to hear from you!
