It's not easy being a transplant in this town. Between being unable to participate meaningfully in the conversation about high school and failing to pronounce things like a true St. Louisan (you're supposed to call it "Gravoy"? Really???), it can be all too easy to feel like an outsider.

But one transplant is vowing to do whatever it takes to prove he belongs here. Even, apparently, marry a St. Louis-style pizza.

Check out the video below from local comedy troupe STL Up Late, in which co-founder Eric Christensen vowed to wed Imo's finest live, on television, if the troupe's Kickstarter is funded.

And guess what? Soon after Christensen made the vow, St. Louis stepped up. As of last night, STL Up Late had raised $35,394 of its $35,000 goal.

That means they'll be getting a show on network TV this November (read our story about their Kickstarter campaign here). And it also means that Eric Christensen will be marrying a 12-inch cracker oozing fake cheese.

At that point, can we all agree that he'll finally belong in St. Louis? Perhaps we could even give him an honorary high school.

Man Marries Pizza

To prove his dedication to STL, the host of the show vows to marry a St. Louis-style pizza on television.
