With its botanical roots and affinity with the delicate flavors of spring, gin may well be the quintessential spirit of the season. Natasha Bahrami, owner and gin ambassador at The Gin Room, describes that moment when spring gives its first hints: “The cravings begin for light, bright citrus cocktails infused with seasonal notes of fruit and herbs from the local farmers market.”

Ted Kilgore, proprietor and beverage director of Planter’s House, explains that gin’s versatile flavor profiles make it especially suited for a wide variety of cocktails. “You have floral ones, fruitier ones, savory ones, spicy ones, you name it.”

Grab a spot in the sunshine to sip on these cocktails busting with the essence of spring.
