Joi-Lin Hunt

If “resilience” had a brand ambassador, Joi-Lin Hunt would already have that deal locked down. Joi-Lin Hunt is a business attorney, a serial entrepreneur, and one powerhouse of a mentor. She’s survived the kind of chaos that tore her entire life apart, rebuilt, and after coming back stronger than ever, she’s become the kind of woman in business that others look to when they need motivation in their own lives.

Joi-Lin Hunt earned her law degree from the Southern University Law Center in 2004, then moved right on to earn her Master’s in Tax Law from SMU in 2005. While law may be where she started, it certainly isn’t where she stopped. Hunt built an entire empire across multiple industries, ensuring that income was flowing from multiple sources. She founded The Hunt Law Group and Quick Money Tax Service in 2007, then created Créme de la Créme Hair in 2009. The products she developed ended up on popular VH1 shows and even in Justin Bieber videos, motivating her to launch Super Weave Xpress in 2012, which she scaled into a multi-million-dollar salon franchise. And in case you’re not already impressed, she expanded her business ventures into the auto industry in 2017 with a dealership, collision shop, rentals, and insurance services. She didn’t just take the fast lane when it came to building a business empire—she built herself an entire freaking freeway.

She didn’t build her business empire on a whim. Joi-Lin Hunt has spoken openly about leaving an abusive marriage. Her ex locked her out of the businesses, bank accounts, and cut her off from all her resources. She had zero access and zero safety net. Rather than let that stop her, she decided to rebuild from the ground up and became the person so many entrepreneurs—women in particular—look up to.

She’s now the founder and CEO of The Firm Credit & Business Group, helping business owners structure their companies so they can build credit, secure funding, and scale their bottom line to six or seven figures. Hunt can frequently be found speaking on some pretty impressive stages, like The LAB: Lunch & Learn with Patrice L. Stewart and The Notary Room. She mentors entrepreneurs worldwide through her mentorship program and is especially impactful when it comes to helping women reclaim their financial independence.

She doesn’t just use her influence online to nurture her impressive Instagram subscriber count; she’s on a mission to reshape the way entrepreneurs approach their businesses so they have a better chance at long-term success. She rebuilt her life from nothing and turned personal adversity into a vehicle for empowering others in similar situations. Joi-Lin Hunt once had her hands tied by an abusive spouse, and now she’s a power player on the global business stage. She didn’t just survive a plot twist—she rewrote the script and is teaching others how to follow along in their own way.
