Sunday Afternoon Film Series. The Holocaust Museum and Learning Center hosts a monthly series of movies relating to the Holocaust. This month features Les Freidman's Prisoner's of Freedom (2001), a documentary that illuminates the plight of refugees allowed into the United States during World War II. The film tells the story of these refugees' struggles to adapt to a new lifestyle amidst a turbulent chapter of history, and in the process examines the elusiveness of memory and the contradictions of storytelling. Director Freidman, a professor at Northwestern University, will introduce the film. Plays at 2 p.m. March 31 at the Holocaust Museum. NR
