In the Spirit of the Earth: Place a pomegranate upon the altar and go to the Western Quarter: It's time for the fourteenth annual St. Louis Pagan Picnic! Whether you're a practicing pagan, a magick enthusiast or a middle schooler in search of alternate answers, this picnic (www.paganpicnic.org) will sate the spirit. With workshops on everything from rituals to runes, and live music by Skinny White Chick, Scott Helland, Breathe and more, it is bound to be a ball in the Bardic Circle. Head to Tower Grove Park (4256 Magnolia Avenue) Saturday and Sunday, June 10 and 11, for the all-day festivities.
Ahh, summer memories: It's a sad fact that an estimated 4.5 million Americans have Alzheimer's Disease (and therefore aren't able to remember that float trip where they lost their swim trunks). But the Summer Memories benefit at Grant's Farm (10501 Gravois Road; 314-801-0414) is helping to raise money for the Alzheimer's Association. At 6 p.m. Friday, June 9, create new memories with an evening of food, dancing, silent auctions and music by The Ultraviolets. Your $35 goes to help ensure those memories will last.
