To describe Anthony Green as a "free spirit" is a severe underestimation of just how one-of-a-kind he is. Incredibly charismatic and equally aloof, the singer left his breakthrough band, Saosin, in 2004 as the group was on the brink of truly blowing up, and had a bit of a mental breakdown in the process. Shortly thereafter, he regrouped with members of defunct hardcore outfits This Day Forward and Taken to form the atmospheric post-hardcore group Circa Survive, which has received overwhelmingly positive press and garnered an increasingly rabid fanbase. Now, with the band's third album (and major-label debut) Blue Sky Noise set to drop April 20, Circa seems poised to truly take the mainstream by storm — a similar situation Green was in six years prior. Will he bolt again, or is the 27-year-old frontman finally seeing in himself what others have seen in him for nearly a decade? Only time will tell, but our money's on Circa's eventual world domination.
