[Update, 4:12 p.m. Wednesday, May 12: Just got word that this show has already been postponed, with a new date TBD. So, um, temper the excitement for now.]
Canadian alt-country stalwarts Cowboy Junkies will be performing a special show at the Sheldon on Sunday, June 27. Tickets are $28 to $32, and are on sale this Friday, May 14, at noon. (A special Internet presale is happening on Thursday, however.) The band will be releasing four new albums in the next eighteen months. Titled The Nomad Series, these albums will include a Vic Chesnutt covers album, a series of songs inspired by a three-month sojourn Michael Timmins and his family took to China and a collection of new tunes. (Album four's contents are TBD.)
