When we last checked in on Tef Poe, he was releasing the first single off his upcoming full-length, War Machine 2, and teaching babies how to fly.

That pursuit continues today with the release of a seven-song teaser for the album, including five tracks tentatively slated for inclusion and two more for bonus. "I'm currently sitting on so much material, and I have to release some of it," he says via email. "Hopefully folks dig it. Just trying to end the summer on a strong note." Download link is below.

The Preview is more of what we've come to expect from the prolific rapper: Hulking beats by Tech Supreme (a few guests as well) and breathless honesty you miss the first time through because you're banging your head too hard. That single he released last month, "Satellite," shows up again here. Happy Thursday, hip-hop fans.

Get used to having Tef Poe in your life -- this week, his "Out The Kitchen" remix was featured on GLC's I Know Who You Pimped Last Summer mixtape, and his own projects are nearing fruition. "We are now proud to announce that we are currently applying the finishing touches to War Machine 2 and The David Ruffin Theory [Tef Poe and Rockwell Knuckles collaboration EP]," says Poe.

Lazy, we know. Fortunately, there's more: Tomorrow, he'll be hosting a listening party for a freestyle mixtape with DJ Trackstar, Power Over Everything, at the Gramophone. Family Affair and Rockwell Knuckles will also perform at that show.
