There are a lot of deities in the world: Jesus, Buddha and Allah, just to name a few. However, San Clemente, California's Fu Manchu has been worshipping at the altar of the Almighty Riff for the past two decades. Although it's best known for pioneering the genre of stoner rock, the band incorporates elements of boogie, classic rock and thrash metal into a signature blend of fuzzed-out rock & roll on its latest disc, We Must Obey. Although Fu Manchu no longer contains some of the big names that helped it get to this point most notably former guitarist Eddie Glass and drummer Ruben Romano, who left to form Nebula in the 1990s new songs such as "Knew It All Along" prove the band is still far from lost in the purple haze.
