Calling all attention seekers: Here's your chance to get your mug on cable. The HGTV show My First Place is shooting a scene tonight at Foam Coffee and Beer from 7:15 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. Our spies on the street say the couple in question is Jeff and Jasonee Foster, Cherokee street residents looking to buy their first house.
John Clark, production coordinator with High Noon Entertainment, the company which produces the show, couldn't confirm or deny the name of the couple.
"These are small shoots, really quick," he says. "We're in and out because we're a small show as well."
"It would be nice to have a full house," says Foam owner Mike Glodeck, who advised patrons to steer clear of the establishment tonight unless they're willing to sign a release. Glodeck also requests customers rep River City by looking presentable.
According to the Foam proprietor, there's a good reason for the latter request. "They're doing the scene where the couple put a bid in on the house and they're going to find out if their bid was accepted or not," he says. Glodeck also notes that My First Place is shooting multiple episodes of the show around town: "It's always good when St. Louis gets a little attention in the spotlight."
