Incredible 1984 Prince Rehearsal Footage Surfaces

A few weeks ago, grainy footage of full-band Prince rehearsals surfaced on YouTube. Backed by the Revolution, Prince performs songs such as "Erotic City," "When Doves Cry" and "Our Destiny/Roadhouse Garden." The sound quality is pristine -- every fluid groove, guitar lick and falsetto note comes through perfectly. A YouTube user claims this footage dates from June 7, 1984 -- the night of a Prince birthday show at First Avenue in Minneapolis and several weeks before the release of his landmark album, Purple Rain.
