The Champaign, Illinois, band's music fights classification synth and nail as they crunch hardcore while weaving music box-caliber melodies. Orchestral arches lead into experimental avant-metal, as Brittany Bindrim's sparrow soprano sears meteorically through the alt-darkness. Having worked with Wade Alin (the electrogenius behind Christ Analogue and Atomica), i:scintilla's breadth and beats will be enough to sate everyone from synthpoppers to shoegazers.
