For somebody who's not familiar with your work, how would you describe your music?
From somebody who doesn't have any idea what the music is, Moombahton itself is a new genre. And the best way to describe it is its slowed-down dance music and it's, in my opinion, the fusion of a bunch of different cultures and music.
From a quick listen, songs from Bonkers would be appropriate at a club or while exercising.
(laughs) It's good, active music.
Q: How does this compare to some of the other work you've done?
I've definitely become a much better producer. A lot of the tracks on the Bonkers EP, with the exception of the title track, I actually made ... toward the end of the summer - like August or September. So I think compared to my older stuff - like the EP I put out last year that I put online for free - I've definitely improved.
I have two more EPs that are coming out. I think one is going to be out at the beginning of March and then I have a bunch of remixes coming out that have just been getting really great support all across the board. And I think everyone will kind of see the progression more so in that new material.
