Little Feat/Madahoochi

Formed in 1969 by former Frank Zappa sidemen Lowell George and Roy Estrada, Little Feat married the twang of Southern rock with the shuffling rhythms of bayou music and sweaty, sultry delivery of electric blues. Though lead singer and slide guitarist par excellence George has been dead for 30 years, his band continues to record and tour (with founding member Bill Payne on piano), and Little Feat has become a staple at jam-band festivals across the country. The band performs as part of the Live on the Levee concert series, and its tunes, both old and new, are perfectly suited for a warm night outside. St. Louis jam-band superpower Madahoochi opens the show.
