This is a good one, folks: Ghostly International label anchor/co-founder Matthew Dear is doing a show at the Koken Art Factory on Saturday, January 29. (According to his booking agent, it's a full-band show, not just a DJ set.) Dear is one of dance music's most exciting innovators, an artist known for dabbling in synthpop, dark-wave, glitch-soul and electro-rock. At a November show in NYC, he even covered the xx. His latest album is this year's Black City. The 18-plus show is co-presented by Badassness + 4Sho; tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door. Curt Becker and Narcosis are also on the bill. Below, a few Dear videos.
