Up among the ranks of Spelling Bee and the Sick Lipstick, Minneapolis-based Miami Dolphins expel schizophrenic surf punk tinged with elemental pop. Teeming with ambition, the band has already released two audio documents and toured the Midwest since its inception in February of this year. Carried by wiry guitar licks, tin-can beats and a raucous, raw energy, MD creates a toxic beach party with each set. Capable of giving Karen O a run for her money, singer Beth Bambery oscillates between easy speak-sing and a boisterous bawl. Wrought with youthful abandon, the band rides high on its biggest strength: the ability to harness cacophony and twist it into MD's own beautiful, electric dream.
Don't Be That Guy: The LNAC is an all-ages venue, and that means: No Booze. No Drugs. No Jerks.
