As far back as 1991, Mint Condition has had a strong presence on the R&B charts. The Minnesota band is one of the only modern acts in the genre to play its own instruments, and it has long been known for the smooth quality of its live performances and for its musical diversity. Although Mint Condition's music possesses a distinct "sound," it's also influenced by funk, jazz and soul, which has helped the group remain relevant for so long. The group still has five original members; keyboardist Keri Lewis, the other cofounder and ex-husband of Toni Braxton, left in the early '00s. Mint Condition's sixth studio album, 2008's E-Life, yielded the hit "Nothing Left To Say" and has earned continued critical acclaim.
