The latest in a long string of previews of Wilco's upcoming The Whole Love came out this morning: A video for new song "Born Alone." Its lyrics were based on a sort of reverse Mad Libs with nineteenth century poetry, where Tweedy picked out words from the works of Emily Dickenson, Whitter and other poets and wrote around them. The video was directed by Mark Greenberg -- watch below.
This isn't the first time "Born Alone" has seen the light of day. Wilco streamed the whole album for 24 hours on its web site, smack in the middle of Labor Day weekend. For all 88 people who were online then.
