Phife Dawg Heads to the Tivoli Tonight For A Tribe Called Quest Documentary

Phife Dawg of A Tribe Called Quest will be making an appearance at the Tivoli Theatre tonight in support of the premiere of Michael Rapaport's documentary Beats, Rhymes & Life.

Phife Dawg will introduce Beats, Rhymes & Life and host a Q & A session after the 7:30 p.m. showing.

The documentary follows A Tribe Called Quest during its 2008 tour, which took place a decade after the band broke up. Beats, Rhymes & Life provides perspective on the dynamics of the group as well as the conflicts that are present within A Tribe Called Quest and how the group functions.

Beats, Rhymes & Life includes interviews from the Beastie Boys, Mos Def, Pharrell, Pete Rock, De La Soul, Santigold, Kanye West, Monie Love, Large Professor, the Jungle Brothers and Common.

According to staff at the Tivoli, tickets for the 7:30 p.m. showing are selling quickly and might sell out soon. Tickets can be purchased online or at the Tivoli Theatre Box Office.
