The world didn't take much time to mourn the passing of Lacy Van Zant, who fathered two members of Lynyrd Skynyrd and one .38 Special. So maybe you ought to wear black to the double bill at the UMB Bank Pavilion Saturday night, out of respect for the survivors (and whoever the hell else is in Skynyrd right now).

Speaking of passing away, long-standing local favorite Just Add Water is calling it quits. Check the band out one last time at Mississippi Nights on Saturday.

Inexplicably not on its farewell tour, Linkin Park is headlining at the UMB Bank Pavilion next Wednesday, the 25th, but the real catch of the show is Snoop Dogg. Even on a big-ass outdoor stage, Tha Doggfather will bring the gangsta funk and the smell of sticky icky to the masses.
