They may have formed last June and played their first show at summer's end, but thanks to well-placed connections with such local notables as Team Up!! and So Many Dynamos (who also play this night), '80s-tinged dance quartet Say Panther have already begun marking their territory in the St. Louis indie scene. And though their eldest member may have turned eighteen a few months ago, the young New Order fanatics are unquestionably focused: Just a few final tweaks and mastering sessions are all that remain before completing their as-yet-untitled debut LP. The fifteen beat-heavy tracks were recorded in singer James Bishop's basement on a shoestring budget and are guaranteed to set your battered Chuck Taylors in motion.
