Miley Cyrus has been ill for a number of recent dates during her Bangerz tour, but some fans may end up feeling sick themselves when they hear the latest news from the controversial singer's camp.
Cyrus and her team had cancelled her April 16 Scottrade Center show for medical reasons, with official information declaring that tickets purchased online or by phone through Ticketmaster would be automatically refunded. Ticket refunds also were available at their points of purchase, but vague language seemed to imply that fans had the option of holding those passes for a rescheduled date.

The latest press release, however, makes it clear that anyone wishing to attend Cyrus' rescheduled show on August 10 will need to purchase new tickets beginning at 10 a.m. Friday, May 2; tickets for the original show will not be honored:
By cancelling the validity of all tickets from the original St. Louis show, Cyrus' team may anger those who had hoped to retain their seats for the rescheduled date. For example, someone who had originally purchased seats in floor section B from a retail location now must obtain a refund and then compete against thousands of fans again this Friday for choice seats to the August 10 show. Obviously, not everyone will get their desired tickets during this second purchasing round.
Update 10:43 a.m. 4/29/14: John Canavera of LiveNation just sent us new information about a presale for current ticket holders.
"Purchasers to the cancelled Miley show will be contacted by Ticketmaster with the opportunity to purchase tickets in a previous buyer only presale before they go on sale to the general public," Canavera said in an email. End of update.
To add more fuel to the fire, full refunds/repurchases aren't mandatory in all cities where Cyrus is rescheduling shows. In Philadelphia and Nashville, for example, tickets from Cyrus' original dates will be honored.

On April 16, Cyrus had tweeted the cancellation of that evening's St. Louis show after being hospitalized in Kansas City for an allergic reaction to medication. Since then, Cyrus has cancelled shows in additional locations, resulting on a new nine-city leg of the rescheduled Bangerz tour, which promotes her album of the same name.
Fans and detractors alike had reacted badly to Cyrus' show cancellations, speculating about the reasons behind them -- something that Cyrus didn't appreciate:
