On April 16, Cyrus had tweeted the cancellation of that evening's St. Louis show after being hospitalized in Kansas City for an allergic reaction to medication. Since then, Cyrus has cancelled shows in additional locations, resulting on a new nine-city leg of the rescheduled Bangerz tour, which promotes her album of the same name.
Fans and detractors alike had reacted badly to Cyrus' show cancellations, speculating about the reasons behind them -- something that Cyrus didn't appreciate:
